Two Hours Walk in Fint Oasis

What to expect:

Fint means “hidden” in Berber, indeed the oasis are not visible from Ouarzazate. Fint is the main village of the Fint Oasis which includes some scattered around the oasis. Fint is located at an altitude of about 1200m and is surrounded by the hills of the reg, the pebble desert. The oasis of Fint benefits from a special micro climate maintained by an open-air irrigation system. It is organized around a fair distribution of irrigation water and cultivable land. 

Fint, spread out in steps, shelters fruit trees, orange trees, lemons, almond trees, date palms and oleanders. Market gardening is widespread. Several species of birds nest there throughout the year and mingle their songs: blackbirds, ravens, peregrine falcons, swallows, sparrows. An astonishing charm and a particular calm make it a surprising stage on the threshold of the Anti-Atlas. 

Today we will start our walk by a pick up from your accommodation, departure by 4WD vehicles direction to the south, 12 km for about 20 minutes of drive. Once arriving to Fint oasis lunch will be served in La Terrasse des Delices with a view of a green valley hidden between mountains with black rocks, then we will have a walk of 1 to 2 hours is feasible along the oued fint, visit villages in clay, drink tea with locals.  

At the evening our drivers will drop off us to our accommodation in Ouarzazate.
